Visits and book links

If you choose “Allow analytics,” this website uses Google Analytics to help Adam understand visits, pages viewed, traffic sources, and clicks on the Amazon book links and Instagram link. Google processes technical information such as your browser, device, approximate location, and activity on the site, and uses cookies to recognize repeat visits.

Analytics is optional. Declining it does not affect the books, links, or contact form. The Google tag loads only after you allow analytics. Your cookie choice is remembered in this browser for up to six months. Use at any time to change it. With JavaScript disabled, Analytics does not run.

This site does not use Google advertising signals or personalized advertising. Page-address query strings and fragments, contact-form contents, and the private inbox are excluded from this website’s analytics. Link clicks indicate interest; they do not reveal whether you completed a purchase on Amazon.

Reader updates

The reader signup form is provided by Kit. If you subscribe, Kit processes your email address, confirmation status, and technical information needed to provide and protect the signup and email service. You will receive a confirmation email before joining Adam’s mailing list. Your address is used to send the reader updates you requested; you can unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter.

Newsletter signup is separate from the contact form and from your analytics choice. Your email address is not sent to this website’s Google Analytics. The embedded signup connects to Kit when you visit the homepage.

Messages to Adam

The contact form collects the name, email address, subject, and message you provide so Adam can read and respond to your note. Messages are stored in a private inbox available to Adam. They are not sent to Google Analytics. Limited technical information, including a hashed network identifier, helps protect the form from spam.

Hosting and other websites

The site’s hosting service processes technical information needed to deliver and secure the website. Amazon, Instagram, and other websites linked here have their own privacy practices.
